2023 Grenache, Texas Davis Mountains
Grenache is known throughout the world, but its famed home is Southern France. In its most famous appellations, this spicy grape is often the primary grape used in the Rhône Valley’s famous wines of Châteauneuf-du-Pape.
Bending Branch's first production of Grenache hails from the rugged, elevated terrain of the Texas Davis Mountains AVA, one of the state’s most unique and remote wine regions. The vines benefit from cooler temperatures, intense sunlight, and dramatic diurnal swings — all factors that promote balanced ripening, vibrant acidity, and expressive aromatics.
