It's time for another rematch! Executive Winemaker Dr. Bob Young and General Manager Jennifer Cernosek invite club members to sign up for a fun tasting in the barrel room that will feature some of their favorite current release and library wine selections for the holidays.

Begin with a welcome pour, then taste eight red wines – four selected by Dr. Bob and four selected by Jen. You will vote on your favorites.

Old Vine Petite Sirah is one of the few wines we’ve made in every vintage since 2008, and it is a perennial favorite among our customers and club members. The grapes are harvested from 50+ year-old vines from Shell Creek Vineyards near Paso Robles, California. Shell Creek is a family operation renowned in the wine world for its Petite Sirah.

At this special tasting event held in our barrel room, taste and compare TEN vintages of Old Vine Petite Sirah, 2009 through 2019, with Winemakers Greg Stokes and Dr. Bob Young.

Individual charcuterie included. Seating is limited.

~1840 WINE CLUB EXCLUSIVE EVENT~

Be the winemaker for a day at the 1840 Blending Party!

Each table of 8 gets beakers, mixing tools, and 4 wines to blend with, and each team strives to make the perfect wine blend. Blends will be judged by Dr. Bob Young and General Manager Jennifer Cernosek. The two winning teams will be invited to a special wine dinner at Bending Branch. Team size cannot exceed 8 people.

RSVP required. Please register under the name on your 1840 Club membership. Limit 2 tickets per club membership.

Our annual 1840 Blending Party is by invitation-only to members of the Bending Branch Winery 1840 Club. Tickets are not transferable.

The WSET Level 2 Award in Wines provides vocational training in the broad range of alcoholic beverages to underpin job skills and competencies in the customer service and sales functions of the hospitality, retail, and wholesale industries. Wine enthusiasts in Central Texas who wish to acquire in-depth knowledge of wine and want to obtain an internationally recognized wine qualification should consider this course!
