Located just outside the West Texas town of Plains, you'll discover one of Texas' oldest and most renowned vineyards. For over 30 years, the Newsom Family has been committed to cultivating top-quality wine grapes. Their grapes have been the foundation of many award-winning wines, and they were the first to introduce Tempranillo to the state. Newsom has come to represent the gold standard of Texas-grown fruit and wine.

Rhone Rangers from throughout Texas, California, and Oregon will be in attendance. With admission, you can sip and stroll among the 30+ wineries that will be in attendance.
American Rhone-style wines are made from the same grapes that have flourished for centuries in France’s Rhone River Valley. Their growing popularity in the United States speaks to their versatility with food, a wide range of rich flavors, and the skills of American winemakers.

The WSET Level 1 Award in Wines provides vocational training in the broad range of alcoholic beverages to underpin job skills and competencies in the customer service and sales functions of the hospitality, retail, and wholesale industries. This introductory level class is ideal for wine enthusiasts in Central Texas who wish to acquire in-depth knowledge of wines and spirits and want to obtain an internationally recognized wine qualification.
