Wine Profile
Tasting Notes
Flavors of dark berries, cinnamon, and tart black plum are wrapped in fine, silky tannins. Subtle layers of earth, wood, and smoke are reminiscent of fine Bordeaux.
Awards
Gold/Grand Star Best in Show/Best in Varietal – 2018 Lone Star International; Silver – 2019 Houston Rodeo Uncorked! International Wine Competition
Vineyard Notes
A serendipitous break, the result of Bending Branch Winemaker Greg Stokes’ longstanding relationships with top growers, afforded us the one-time opportunity to purchase some extraordinary Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon grapes. With neighbors like Screaming Eagle and PlumpJack, we couldn’t resist.
Food Pairing Notes
There’s something naughtily appealing about washing down a bacon cheeseburger with a world-class Cabernet. Is it the thrill of flaunting convention? Maybe, but grilled beef, tangy cheese, and smoky bacon check all the boxes for a classic match with rich California Cabernet.
