Wine Profile
Tasting Notes
The combination of old vine fruit, American oak barrel aging, and luxurious time in the bottle is a rare treat. Fragrances of earth, spice, and red berries introduce robust flavors of ripe blackberry, clove, and cocoa.
Vineyard Notes
The grapes for our Old Vine Petite Sirah are harvested from vines planted in Paso Robles nearly 45 years ago. Older vines produce less, but richer, more complex fruit. The maturity shows in this luxurious, full-bodied wine, a perennial favorite.
Food Pairing Notes
Full-bodied wine demands full-bodied food. Barbecued beef, chicken in mole sauce, and aged cheeses such as Gouda and Camembert are up to the task. Bitter chocolate shares coffee and mocha notes in the wine, and will be a memorable experience for thoughtful tasters.
