2015 Comfortage, Hoover Valley Vineyards
Comfortage is made from 100% Roussanne.
The Roussanne grapes were harvested from Hoover Valley Vineyard in the Texas Hill Country. The grapes are whole-cluster pressed at Bending Branch Winery. The wine is aged in 50% stainless steel, 25% new American oak, and 25% neutral barrels.
The name Comfortage references our hometown of Comfort, as well as the Northern Rhone Valley region of Hermitage in which the grape variety thrives.
This wine is an adventurous Texas substitute for the die-hard Chardonnay fan. It is rich and creamy and expresses fruit notes of ripened green apple, apricot and mango.
Hoover Valley Vineyards
Pairs well with vinaigrette salads, creamy cheeses, quiches, Thanksgiving meals, and a host of other light recipes.
